L+P=S: Where learning meets practicality. KAUFUSI INDUSTRIES and APPRENTICESHIP (KIA) bridges the classroom and the workplace. Our mission is to provide high-quality manufacturing solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainability for businesses to thrive.
Founders
With over 57 combined years of classroom instruction, coupled with coaching and administrative responsibilities from elementary, secondary and higher education; teaching is second nature to Richard and 'Ofa Kaufusi. Educators at heart, they saw a need in our society for more professionals in the overarching Skilled Trades umbrella. Many are overlooking these professions and it's financial benefit. Teaching through apprenticeship and on-the-job training will provide the knowledge base and skills for many who seek these professions in these areas.

Our History
Launched in Sept 2025, Kaufusi Industries & Apprenticeship (KIA) will utilize current businesses and industries to provide apprenticeship opportunities with focus on retention resources of mentorship, leadership, and academic and career development pathways.
- INDUSTRY - is a group of businesses that do the same kind of work or make the same kind of product.
- APPRENTICESHIP - since the being of time, this was teaching at it's finest; to have a learner (Apprentice) work alongside a skilled, master craftsman or journeyman. This became more formalized in 18th century. This shifted from uncompensated servitude to paid, regulated, and industrial training with certificate trainings. In 1937 the US, enacted the National Apprenticeship Act.
